Ghandruk Ghorepani trek is another stunning trekking route for those who love to explore nature with the unique culture and lifestyle of the inhabitant people in that area. Ghorepani Ghandruk trek is located in the Annapurna region of Nepal, where the one can have many trekking route options of their interest.
Initially, you will visit the UNESCO World Heritage Sites and other important monuments inside the Kathmandu Valley. All the temples, stupas, and the Durbar Squares hold artistic and aesthetic elements. Pashupatinath Temple, Swayambhunath Stupa, Boudhanath Stupa, Kathmandu Durbar Square and Bhaktapur Durbar Square are some of them.

After this, you will be driven to Pokhara, supposedly the tourism capital, whose some of the top attractions are Phewa Lake, World Peace Stupa, Davi’s Falls and Sarangkot—a beautiful village famous for the sunrise and the sunset views. Thereafter, you will be further driven to Nayapul, a small village where you will begin your trekking.

Trekking along a quite wide and easy path with scenic landscapes, you will reach Tikhedhunga—a dainty village with a few guesthouses. Your trail will keep ascending. On the way to Ghorepani, you will have to walk up 3,200 stone steps. Verdant landscapes and the views of cloud perched upon mountain peaks will be pleasant and energizing. From there, you will admiringly trek your way to Poon Hill—a Hill Station to view the Annapurna Massif and the Dhaulagiri mountain range. Several tantalizing towering peaks, like Annapurna, Machhapuchhre, Himchuli, Annapurna III, Dhampus, Dhaulagiri can be seen. Moreover, the sunrise view will be immensely mesmerizing. Worth taking pictures! Thereupon you will follow the trail running over craggy path uphill, and through forests abloom with resplendent rhododendrons.

It will be pleasantly airy making you feel more active. Then, with a short ascent and a long descent, you will get to Tadapani, a village that will welcome you with stunning vista. Finally you will reach Ghandruk. It is quite a big village predominated by the Gurungs. The village itself is absolutely stunning which will offer you alluring views of majestic peaks Annapurna, Himchuli, and Machhapuchhre. People there are innocent and expansive, they can easily win your heart. You will get to know about their culture and traditions. They are abundantly unique.

Presumably, this trek will take you from a culturally opulent city to a naturally rich village. And, the way is full of amazing landscapes, hills, and forests. They will render you absolutely upbeat.

Day 10: Departure

Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu airport and you will be transferred to the hotel by one of our representatives. Welcome dinner at one of the traditional Nepali restaurants in Kathmandu.

Day 02: Visit Swoyambunath and Patan: start our tour visiting Swoyambunath, a magnificent Buddhist stupa situated at the high hill of Kathmandu valley followed by a visit of Patan, a true open air museum with its pagodas, temples, and monasteries.

Day 03: Drive Kathmandu to Pokhara (820m): a scenic drive for about 7 hours to Pokhara. You can enjoy your afternoon exploring lake city.

Day 04: Drive Pokhara to Kande and trek to Landruk (1565m): We start our adventure with a short drive to Kande then start our trek to Landruk. The trek starts with a steep uphill through a forest and gets gradual after an hour walk. We continue our walk through the rhododendron forest enjoying the magnificent view of Fish-tail (6993m) and Annapurna. After our lunch break in Deurali, trail descends to Tolka, then continue gradual downhill walk all the way to Landruk; one of the oldest and fascinating places of this region. It is a small place but has a true Gurung culture.

Day 05: Trek Landruk to Tadapani (2590m): Today, the trek descends to Modi khola followed by steep uphill climb on stone stairs. It is steep uphill for about 2 hours to Ghandruk then trail goes through rhododendron forest following gradual uphill. The views of the mountains are spectacular throughout the whole day. It is comparatively hard day than previous one. The Mountain View from Tadapani is superb.

Day 06: Trek Tadapani to Ghorepani (2860m): On the third day of our trek, we get some of the best views of the mountains. It is about 7 hours strenuous trek to Ghorepani as it is mostly uphill trek, however it is really enjoyable day because of the magnificent mountain views we get throughout the whole day. We follow the ridge of the hill which offers spectacular view of Mustang valley and mountains at north and view of Gandaki valley at south.

Day 07: Trek Ghorepani to Nayapul and drive to Pokhara (820m): early morning hike to Poon Hill (3210m) to catch sunrise over the magnificent mountain ranges. Seventeen different mountain peaks including two of the highest ones in the world; Dhaulagiri( 8167m, 7th Highest) and Annapurna I (8091m, 10th Highest) as well as Annapurna II( 7939m), Annapurna III(7555m), Annapurna IV(7525m), Machhapuchhre (6993m), Himchuli (6441m), Annapurna South(7219m), Tukuche Peak(6920m), and Lamjung Himal(6986m) can be seen. Then we retrace our steps back to Ghorepani and continue our trek descending through Ulleri and Tikhedhunga. We trek through one of the biggest rhododendron forests in the world. It is about 8 hours trek to Nayapul followed by about an hour drive to Pokhara.

Nepal Climate

Climate:
From the eternal snow of the high peaks to the extensive tropical lowlands, Nepal has a wide variety of climates.

Spring: March to late May: In this season, Kathmandu is in full bloom, lots of different types of flowers can be seen at this time of the year. Temperature is mild, end of the cold winter and approaching warm and hot summer. Temperatures vary between 10 ° C to 28 ° C but can rise up to 30 ° C. Between 2000 and 3000m, temperature rarely drop below 0 ° C. However, few frosts or snowfalls are possible in March above 4000 m.

The summer/monsoon period: It interrupts the majority of trekking from late June to late August. Some of the trekking regions "trans-Himalayan", Dolpo and Mustang, however, remain protected from monsoon prevailing rest of the country. They are the only channels available in Nepal in the summer.
