Langtang Gosainkunda Trek is one of the incredible and adventurous Langtang region trekking in Nepal. Located in Rasuwa district, Langtang Gosainkunda Trek is a high altitude remote trek to the isolated area of the Langtang region.
Langtang Gosainkunda trekking is popular among trekkers as it offers a spectacular view of Langtang Himal and the Gosainkunda Lake, also known as the high altitude frozen lake. Located at an altitude of 4380m, Gosainkunda is a sacred Lake with religious significance among Hindu and Buddhist pilgrims. Pilgrims believe that taking dips in Gosainkunda removes all the sins.
The Langtang Gosainkunda Trek package is 13 days long and is considered a moderately difficult trek. Anyone with average physical fitness can complete this trek without much toil. So, it is suitable for experienced as well as beginner trekkers. Mostly, trekkers go in groups for Langtang Gosainkunda Trekking, but it is appropriate for solo trekkers too. With a guide/porter, solo trekkers can accomplish the journey to the frozen lake.
The Langtang Gosainkunda Trek itinerary is outlined in such a way that you can have enough time to acclimatize with the high altitudes while exploring the villages alongside. Walk along some off the beaten paths that are dotted with rivers, forests, Tamang villages, waterfalls, Gompas, suspension bridges, and some peak glimpse. To enjoy this trek to the fullest, choose the best time of the year for the trek.
Our trek starts from a beautiful village of Syaprubesi. As we follow the trekking route, we will come across some fascinating monasteries like Kyangin Gompa and Sin Gompa, residing at high elevation that manifests Tibetan influence. We will explore the stunning Langtang valley, also known as the valley of Glacier, that resides at the heart of Langtang National Park. Observe the massive Langtang Glacier in the vicinity. At high altitude, the temperature drops sharply, resulting in snowfall. So Gosainkunda Langtang Trek is also favorable to experience snowfall.
